This is the page we would want you to read before paying for anything. It is deliberately specific about how the tool can be wrong.

Trading and investing carry the risk of losing money, including more than you deposited. Nothing on this site or in any report is a promise, a forecast or a guarantee of any outcome. If you need advice, speak to a licensed professional in your jurisdiction.
AI-generated output can be wrong
Reports are produced by a vision model. It is good at reading pixels and bad at admitting uncertainty, so the specific failure modes are worth knowing:
- Symbol and timeframe confusion — a ticker that looks like another ticker, or a timeframe label the model misreads. The report shows what it read so you can catch this immediately.
- Axis misreads — decimal places, split-adjusted scales, logarithmic axes or a cropped y-axis can shift every level by a constant factor.
- Invented detail — the model may state a pattern or a level that is not actually visible. This is a known behaviour of language-and-vision models, not a rare bug.
- Out-of-range prices — a price outside the axis range on your screenshot is meaningless. Our validation flags such values as unresolved rather than drawing them, but you should still check every number.
- Model and prompt changes — the underlying model is updated by its provider over time. The same chart can produce a different reading a month later.
Every report is a draft. Verify it against the original chart before you rely on any part of it.
Technical analysis does not predict the future
Support, resistance, trend structure and patterns describe what has already happened. They do not cause future prices. Markets can and do trade through every level a chart shows, and a pattern that worked before can fail the next time. A clean-looking setup is not evidence of a probable outcome — it is a way of organising a decision you still have to make.
Market risk
Prices gap. Liquidity disappears. Spreads widen at the open, around news and in thin instruments. Leveraged products can be liquidated before your invalidation level is reached, and options can expire worthless even when the direction was right. Position sizing, not chart reading, is what usually determines whether an account survives — and that is outside what this tool does.
No performance claims
We publish no win rate, no backtest results, no return figures and no user profit numbers. Any price, ratio or percentage you see in a sample report on this site is illustrative and generated from synthetic data. If you ever see Readout output used elsewhere to advertise guaranteed returns, it is not authorised by us.
What the tool cannot see
A screenshot is a snapshot, and by the time you upload it the market has usually moved. The tool has no live feed, no order book, no news, no earnings calendar, no fundamentals and no knowledge of corporate actions. It cannot tell you whether a level is being defended by real order flow. A chart read in isolation is a partial picture, always.
Not personalised
Two people uploading the same chart get the same description of structure. There is no suitability assessment, no account size, no tax or regulatory consideration. Reports are generic technical descriptions, and consuming one does not create an advisory relationship of any kind.
Regulatory status
Readout is a software product, not a licensed investment adviser, broker or portfolio manager, and it is not registered with any securities or derivatives regulator. It is your responsibility to confirm that using a paid technical analysis tool is permitted where you live and consistent with the rules of your broker or platform.
Your responsibility
Before acting on anything a report describes: check the symbol, timeframe and price axis yourself; confirm the levels on your own charting platform; decide your position size and your invalidation in advance; and never risk money you cannot afford to lose. If any of that is unfamiliar, the honest next step is education or a licensed professional — not another scan.
Questions
If something in a report looks wrong, send it to support@readout.fyi. Error reports are how the validation layer improves, and a genuinely bad scan is refunded.
